Position Summary Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking adedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher toprovide high-quality services to students in grades K–12. Under the directionof the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involvescollaborating with school staff to plan and implement individualized studentprograms, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultationwith general education teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Deliver tailored instruction to students with special needs
+ Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive learning environments
+ Participate in team planning and implementation of student programs
+ Provide tutorial assistance and behavioral support as needed
+ Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all professional standards
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate (as required by state/district regulations)
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
+ Preferred certifications:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
