    Summary

    The Grounds Lead supervises a small team of forklift drivers to maintain the grounds of a vegetable processing facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervises a team of seasonal Grounds Utility Forklift Drivers

    + Retrieves pallets and other supplies that are needed for plant processes

    + Maintains the appearance of the outside grounds

    + Receives supply shipments from vendors

    + Manages on-site pallet yard inventory

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Typical Education

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    Relevant Experience

    + Preferred previous supervisory experience

    + Ability to operate a forklift

    + Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    + Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure

    + Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment; ability to lead a group of employees

    + Ability to work weekends, shift work and overtime
