• Cloud Developer

    CTG (Bakersfield, CA)


    CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Developer position for our client in Bakersfield, CA.

     

    **Duration:** 6 months

    Duties:

    + Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions.

    + Extract and process data from diverse sources to support analytics and reporting needs.

    + Utilize SQL, Spark, Hive, and Hadoop HDFS for data analysis and pipeline development.

    + Build and optimize data applications leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as DataFlow, DataProc, and Pub/Sub.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective data-driven solutions.

    + Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and efficient data workflows within cloud environments.

    Skills:

    + Strong proficiency in SQL and Spark.

    + Expertise in data analysis, querying, and large-scale data processing.

    + Working knowledge of Hadoop HDFS and Hive.

    + Experience developing on Google Cloud Platform, preferably using DataFlow, DataProc, and Pub/Sub.

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Experience:

    + 6+ years of industry experience in data engineering or cloud development roles.

    + Proven ability to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets from multiple sources.

    + Demonstrated success in designing and deploying scalable cloud data solutions.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $82.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
