Job Description Summary
The primary responsibility of this position will be to operate the company’s plastic injection molding equipment in a safe manner while producing quality parts. This person will also need to perform routine maintenance on all machines as well as repair them when necessary. Additionally, they must ensure that all production procedures are followed closely to maintain quality standards throughout the entire process.

Job Description
Role Responsibilities
+ Operate and maintain plastic injection molding equipment including but not limited to: Cincinnati Milacron, Haitian, or Toshiba presses ranging from 28-400 tons.
+ Ensure proper operation of all machines by performing preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning nozzles, inspecting seals, replacing worn parts, etc.
+ Troubleshoot issues with equipment during production runs or between cycles if needed.
+ Check molds for wear/damage after each cycle and replace when necessary.
+ Monitor temperatures and other parameters of the machines to optimize their performance.
+ Load and unload materials manually or using hoists.
+ Assist in training new employees on how to properly use equipment.
+ Maintain accurate records related to production activities such as downtime, scrap rates, etc.
+ Adhere to safety protocols at all times to avoid injuries.
+ Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED/equivalent.
+ Previous experience operating plastic injection molding equipment preferred.
+ Knowledge of basic maintenance practices essential.
+ Ability to read blueprints helpful.
+ Strong communication skills both written and verbal necessary.
+ Detail orientated individual capable of multitasking desired.
+ Able to lift up to 35 lbs. alone (Anything above 35lbs requires assistance).
Work Environment and Physical Demands
+ Stand for 8–10 hours a day while operating machines.
+ Regularly lift and move materials or parts weighing 25–50 pounds. (Ability to lift 35 pounds alone, anything over 35 pounds requires assistance.)
+ Occasionally lift heavier items with assistance or mechanical aids.
+ Frequent use of hands and arms for tasks like turning knobs, adjusting settings, or using hand tools.
+ Good vision (with or without correction) is needed to read blueprints, inspect parts, and monitor machine operations.
+ Ability to hear warning signals, machine sounds, and communicate in noisy environments.
+ Regularly bend, stoop, or reach to load materials or access machine components.
+ Must wear safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and sometimes hearing protection or respirators.
