Join our dedicated team supporting the Neurology office at UPMC Somerset Health Services. This full-time position offers daylight hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday) with no weekends or holidays required.

Responsibilities:

+ Organize daily patient schedules and help manage smooth patient flow throughout the office.

+ Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with mobility, dressing, and specimen collection.

+ Gather patient history, take vital signs, and perform screenings per provider guidelines.

+ Relay provider instructions clearly to patients and their families.

+ Prepare and clean exam rooms and equipment according to infection control protocols.

+ Maintain supply inventory and restock rooms as needed.

+ Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic lab procedures following clinic policies.

+ Assist physicians during exams and procedures, documenting all relevant patient data.

+ Answer phone calls and provide accurate information, including patient education when directed.

+ Handle front office tasks such as scheduling, verifying insurance, and managing patient charts.

+ Send and receive medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.

+ Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision.

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

+ Act 34
