Job Description
BAE Systems is looking to hire a Security/Emergency Response, Senior to support the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) Security Office located in an International Facility in Arlington, VA. Candidate will support the BAE Systems Program Manager (PM) and NSPO Security Manager in achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable NSPO Physical Security, Industrial Security, Operations Security, and Information Security programs and systems. The successful candidate will serve as a key section leader in recommending and executing security strategies, overseeing emergency response programs, and providing on-site support in ana international consortium setting at the NSPO facility. Key responsibilities include:
+ Act as the local Facility Security Officer ensuring BAE Systems personnel at the NSPO facility conform to the BAE Systems and customer security policies in close cooperation with our Facility Security Officer.
+ Supervise personnel clearance management through JPAS/DISS, including in-processing, out-processing, and periodic reinvestigations.
+ Manage clearance verifications and security briefing processes for incoming employees and visitors to ensure secure access to NSPO facilities. Provide security briefings on behalf of NSPO and BAE Systems to new staff. Oversee annual BAE Systems security training acknowledgements for our employees.
+ Serve as a senior advisor to the BAE Systems Program Manager and NSPO Security Manager on high-level security issues, emerging threats, travel destinations and strategic initiatives.
+ Act as a section leader for the BAE Systems staff in the NSPO Front Desk and the Emergency Response team.
+ Oversee the secure transportation and handling of classified materials across international borders in compliance with applicable laws and agreements.
+ Recommend and enforce NSPO security policies, regulations, and procedures that align with Department of Defense (DoD) and international security practices.
+ Conduct facility security inspections in coordination with the NSPO Security Manager, addressing areas such as Physical Security, Information Security, and Counterintelligence.
+ Assess current security programs and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and security compliance.
+ Provide security subject matter expertise and act as the NSPO point of contact for CONUS and OCONUS conferences and meetings, including site surveys, base and facility access, managing classified materials, verifying clearances, secure classified spaces and liaising with local and international security authorities. Act as a senior security representative during international conferences, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
+ Manage core NSPO security programs, including Counterintelligence (CI), Insider Threat Awareness, Industrial Security, Physical Security, and Communications Security (COMSEC).
+ Maintain oversight of the NSPO Access Control System (ACS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), and visitor control program to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
+ Oversee the processing of classified materials, including inventory, packaging, and secure transportation from/to the facility.
+ Ensure compliance with classified information protection protocols, including INFOSEC, OPSEC, and international agreements.
+ Support the review and maintenance of Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD 254s).
+ Be available for 24/7 on-call support to respond to IDS alarms, system failures, or other security-related incidents.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Must possess a US Government Secret Clearance.
At least ten years of relevant job experience.
Experience in developing security policy for DoD and international programs.
Experience working in DoD security to programs include: industrial security, information security, personnel security, and physical security.
Proficient computer skills and experience in maintaining and administration of security databases, to include Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, work independently, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.
Knowledge of the government classified contract process to include providing security guidance in generating DD254 s.
Knowledgeable of international requirements to include: Foreign Visitor requests, export compliance, and transmission of classified information to international recipients.
Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other applicable DoD Regulations.
Excellent communication skills; both oral and written
Knowledge and experience managing classified programs (US, NATO, and Foreign Government Information).
Excellent critical thinking, structured analysis, and decision making skills
Proven leadership, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and as a member of a multi-disciplined team.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree - preferably in a related field
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
