    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for a Security Engineer to join their team in Melbourne, FL. This team is a managed network provider for a 365/24/7 network. The Engineer will act as the primary engineering support to network security operations for the testing and evaluation of new Security products and services. Other responsibilities include:

    • Administer and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) infrastructure to ensure robust monitoring and incident response capabilities

    • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and measures in alignment with the program's cybersecurity strategies.

    • Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and encryption tools.

    • Develop, maintain and publish technical documentation in accordance with Systems Engineering processes.

    • Act as a Security Support Engineer for State, Federal and commercial customer

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3+ years of experience in the network security engineering field (Information Security, Network Engineering, or System Administration)

     

    - Strong experience with SIEM tools

     

    - Proficient knowledge of Cisco network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, and switches.

     

    - Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance Experience administering Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) (Fortinet, Cisco, or Palo Alto).

     

    Prior federal telecommunications and network security experience

     

    CompTIA Security+ or CCNA or CISSP certification.
