Job Description

• Work with business partners within one or more business unit to align technology solutions with business strategies.

• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of a business area in the context of the business client’s unit to identify and communicate how IT solutions can strategically assist and support.

• Supports one or more highly complex business processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.

• Serve as a project team member or team lead, as needed.

• Responsible for coordinating the collection, analysis and translation of requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Support product owners in prioritizing the product backlog based on business value.

• Align IT resources and processes to meet the client organization’s needs, as well as the design of enterprise solutions.

Skills and Requirements

Looking for someone who has worked on a team that has developed Java APIs, heavy story card writing, facilitation skills, and DB2 experience. Also need someone who can adapt to changing priorities quickly.

• Sr. Business System Analyst, with at least 2 years in an Agile environment, preferably for a backend system writing RESTful APIs

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

• Knowledge/experience with SOAP to REST migration

• Experience gathering requirements from product managers and breaking them down into user-stories

• Understanding of data and SQL queries

• Experience facilitating group sessions to gather requirements with ability to ask relevant questions to drill into the details

• Experience tracking and driving deliverables to completion

• Excellent documentation skills, including technical writing.

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. - Experience working on SOAP to REST migration
