Job Description

We’re seeking a proactive and hands-on Java Developer to join the Content Distribution team, supporting backend systems that power both web and internal platforms. This role is 100% backend-focused and plays a critical part in enhancing and maintaining the stability of our content syndication infrastructure.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring frameworks

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and product owners in Agile teams with daily standups and Jira-based workflows

• Work on bug fixes, code enhancements, and refactoring across multiple content distribution applications

• Support syndication pipelines that push content to platforms

• Handle incoming requests for feature enhancements and ensure system stability

• Interface with tools like Nifi (Apache open-source) and ElasticSearch for search functionality

• Participate in technical discussions and problem-solving sessions with the team

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Java, Spring, ElasticSearch, AWS, some Go

• APIs: RESTful APIs with GraphQL layer via Express.js

• Tools: NiFI (Apache open-source tool), Syndication for content push

Skills and Requirements

• Java (Spring): 3–5+ years, ideally Java 7/8

• 100% backend development

• Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and independent thinking required

• Communication & Documentation: Proactive, clear communicator, go-getter attitude

• Cloud: AWS hosting experience is helpful but not required (handled by a separate cloud operations team) • ElasticSearch
