Overview
We are seeking an Epic ODBA to support and maintain Epic database environments for a large healthcare organization. This role will focus on performing standard database administration functions while supporting the ongoing stability, performance, and integrity of Epic systems.
The ideal candidate holds an Epic ODBA certification and brings solid technical experience performing core DBA activities in enterprise environments.
This position is fully remote, begins as a 3-month contract, and offers the potential to transition to a long-term W-2 role in the new year.
Responsibilities
• Perform core database administration duties for Epic environments, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support Epic upgrades, environment refreshes, and routine system health checks.
• Manage database security, performance, and integrity across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with technical and application teams to resolve system issues efficiently.
• Execute and document standard change management procedures.
• Provide proactive support for optimization and environment stability.
Compensation:
$60/hr to $70/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
• Epic ODBA Certification (required).
• Experience performing database administration duties in large-scale or healthcare IT environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar database platforms (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
