Job Description
An employer is looking to add an Azure Government Engineer to their team. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure Azure Government cloud environments, ensuring all solutions are CMMC Level 2 compliant and meet federal security requirements. They will be responsible for designing and deploying Azure Government infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring CMMC L2 controls. They will manage Azure Gov services (Azure AD, VNets, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, Firewall, Security Center) with a focus on compliance. They will automate provisioning and enforce security, compliance, and governance policies per CMMC L2.
They will collaborate with teams for secure application deployment and platform scalability, and be responsible for troubleshooting infrastructure issues and optimizing for performance and compliance. This person will also be responsible for providing architectural guidance for secure, scalable, and resilient Azure Government solutions, as well as designing and implementing secure networking, high availability, and disaster recovery for government workloads.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years in Azure infrastructure engineering (preferably in government or regulated sectors)
Proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell/Bash, and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Strong understanding of Azure networking, IAM, and security best practices for government workloads
Experience with container orchestration (AKS) in regulated environments Active Secret Clearance
Azure Professional Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud in government settings
Familiarity with Azure Government, FedRAMP, and CMMC frameworks
Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to secure platform strategy.
