Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supplier Quality Leader to cultivate new supplier relationships, strengthen existing ones, and ensure supplier capabilities align with our needs as a Medical Manufacturing Company. This role is critical for auditing current suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and driving improvements in quality, cost, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, preferably within a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, or automotive).

On-Site Requirement: 3x per week

40% Travel Required

Responsibilities:

•Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, understanding their capabilities and strategic alignment with our company.

•Audit current suppliers to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.

•Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, and alignment with our business needs.

•Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, operations, procurement, and regulatory teams.

•Manage supplier performance, address quality issues, and drive corrective actions.

•Lead structured improvement projects with suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.

•Conduct regular on-site visits to suppliers to assess their operations, identify issues, and drive improvements.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier development or supplier quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.

Experience in a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, or automotive) preferred.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.

Familiar with Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing methodologies

Experience with ERP systems.

Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time, primarily within the continental U.S.

Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Supplier Quality experience within Medical Device Industry

Global sourcing - International supplier experience

LEAN Manufacturing or Six Sigma certifications
