    Job Description

    An employer in the insurance industry is looking for a Sr. Platform Engineer to join the platform engineering team. This This engineer will play a critical role in building and maintaining the underlying platform that supports application development, deployment, and operations across the organization. They will be responsible for designing and scaling internal developer platforms and tooling to improve engineering velocity and consistency. The Platform Engineer will collaborate closely with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to establish best practices around infrastructure, observability, and deployment. They will leverage Azure-native services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tooling to create reliable, secure, and scalable environments. The role includes both greenfield and brownfield platform initiatives.

    Skills and Requirements

    5-7 years of platform engineering experience, with a strong focus on Azure

    Deep knowledge of Azure platform architecture and services (ARM templates, ALZ, Azure Policy, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, App Gateway, AKS, etc.)

     

    Hands-on experience building and managing internal platforms, developer tooling, and automation frameworks

     

    Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi or Terraform (Pulumi preferred)

     

    Experience standardizing libraries for development teams

     

    Experience writing application libraries

     

    Proficient in scripting or development with C#

     

    Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, access control, policy as code, and secure cloud architecture

     

    Excellent collaboration and communication skills; experience working in cross-functional agile team
