• Senior Backend Developer

    Job Description

    An Insight Global fortune 500 retail client is looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join the team. In this role this individual will be responsible for hands on development, mentorship of peers, and participating in systems design conversations while helping design solutions. The current project will involve a migration of applications from on prem to the cloud and Cloud expertise will be pivotal in this role. This team is looking for someone with strong collaboration stills as they will be a working with their own team while also coordinating with others. Work will be conducted remotely, but quarterly travel to Atlanta may be required.

    - 8-10 overall experience with hands on development

     

    - All backend API development and microservices

    - Techstack:

    • Java 21 (need this version)

    • Spanner (OLTM - for transactional data)

    • Pubsub

    • Rest APIS

    • Github actions

     

    - Experience with GCP cloud

    - Kubernetes exposure

    • Unit testing

    • k8 framework exposure

    - Helping with system design

    • Writing requirements

    • Design and architecture

    • Optimizing and defining solutions

    - Experience mentoring junior developers
