Job Description

We’re searching for an agile Design Program Manager to join our visionary team in a fully remote environment. This individual will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, and hold the following responsibilities:

• Act as a design liaison between the India design team and U.S.-based leadership

• Review design work from the India team, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements aligned with Android design patterns.

• Communicate design feedback and direction clearly across time zones, ensuring smooth collaboration and execution.

• Provide independent design critique and escalate concerns or blockers to leadership.

• Ensure designs are production-ready and aligned with software build timelines.

• Maintain consistent reporting and updates to U.S. stakeholders.

• Support execution of Android tablet-focused consumer products for the Indian market.

Ideal Profile:

• A senior designer with strong critical thinking and design leadership skills.

• Someone who may be transitioning from hands-on design to more strategic or programmatic roles.

• Comfortable with reviewing and directing design, not necessarily creating it.

• Has experience in Android tablet UX, ideally in localized markets like India.

• Interested in program management and cross-functional coordination.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Android or Chromebook design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating consumer-facing products.

o Deep understanding of Android/Chromebook design systems, patterns, and platform nuances.

• Experience with Figma and other modern design tools.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work across cultures and time zones.

• Experience in program management or design operations or design leadership

• Ability to work independently and provide strategic design guidance without being hands-on in only design work. • Background in interaction design and creative direction
