Job Summary:
In the ProMedica surgical unit, the Surgery Scheduler plays a pivotal role. You will schedule procedures across multiple facilities and ensure complete and accurate patient information, coordinate ancillary services, and address any scheduling conflicts.
You will schedule the procedures considering time, anesthesia, equipment, physician preferences and OR availability. You will communicate any changes to necessary personnel quickly and ensure all special requests are met.

REQUIREMENTS
+ Education:High School graduation or equivalent
+ Skills:Must be able to read, write, and correctly record on a computer workstation. Medical terminology or exposure. Must be able to correctly spell medical terms. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively and pleasantly interact with customers. Must be able to work independently. Must be ableto write legibly. Must demonstrate physical, mental, and emotional stability, which is necessary to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, highly stressful setting.
+ Years of Experience: 1 year office, medical/surgery scheduling experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
+ Years of Experience:2 years' experience in a Surgical Setting.
