Job Summary:
The Supervisor of Revenue Cycle Network Training oversees the daily functions and operation of the Revenue Cycle Network Trainer department. As a member of the Revenue Cycle Leadership Team, the Supervisor is responsible for the successful implementation of procedures, ongoing management, process improvement, and overall success of training for all revenue cycle areas and for all hospitals under Westchester Medical Center Health Network. Travel to all hospitals is required as directed by Revenue Cycle Senior Leadership. Performs related work as required.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages non-clinical staff in a manner that promotes optimal productivity, achieves patient and physician satisfaction, and engages employees to perform at their highest level, all consistent with Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
+ Provides on-site direct leadership and management, by coaching, developing, and empowering direct reports.
+ Utilizes education, experience, and analytical judgment to perform critical job elements ensuring patient and physician satisfaction, fostering positive relationships.
+ Identifies areas for process improvement and daily quality monitoring of key performance metrics and accuracy of accounts. Follows a monitoring system to understand trends and system issues.
+ Oversees the development of educational materials and manuals.
+ Supervises direct reports in their involvement with the design, development, and testing of any future systems and enhancements.
+ Develops instruction strategies for new and existing training programs.
+ Supervises training program schedules with participants, instructors, and facility management.
+ Educates and trains revenue cycle team, specifically Patient Access and Patient Accounts, on system operability in an efficient manner.
+ Oversees the preparation and distribution of training aids, instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, training videos, and visual aids.
+ Assists in facilitating the front-end insurance plan code maintenance process.
+ Provides relevant guidance, direction, and training to all hospital departments who perform revenue cycle functions, both reporting to and not reporting to revenue cycle leadership.
+ Engages with various departments to identify opportunities during EMR implementation and provides feedback and recommendations.
+ Supervises and as needed, serves as the system administrator for third-party applications used by the revenue cycle team.
+ Reviews generated reports from staff as well as self-generating reports to enhance training program so that revenue cycle performance meets goals.
+ Various personnel actions including but not limited to performance evaluations, schedules, and weekly timecards.
+ Ensures adequate professional staffing levels.
+ Supervises the training of new Revenue Cycle Network Trainers as well as continued education.
+ Attend meetings related to job functions and responsibilities.
+ Requires travel to other WMCHealth facilities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
4 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations, required. At least 1 year of related experience in a leadership role, preferred. Experience in training, education, content development, project management, or similar/related experience, required. Advanced education, certifications, and/or experience can be considered to meet requirements.
Education:
Associate’s degree, required. Graduate of an accredited program, degree in healthcare preferred, Bachelor's, preferred.

The Supervisor should have knowledge of concepts, practices of hospital operations and procedures. Knowledge of Cerner is preferred. Proven leadership, training, and facilitation skills. Excellent communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments. Proficiency in Microsoft product suite, specifically, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio. Work effectively in a multitask fast paced environment prioritizing and completing tasks in a timely manner. Problem solving skills and attention to detail to assess and resolve conflict in a timely manner. Handle difficult or escalated situations with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Role models professional behaviors, approaches, and attitudes, particularly in stressful and conflicting situations. Communicates cooperatively and constructively with patients, area supervisors, families, co-workers, administration, other clinical departments, providers, community agencies, referral sources, other health team members, etc. Special Requirements: N/A
