Job Summary:
The Director Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies for our western region, which includes St. Anthony Community Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Bon Secours Community Hospital. This position serves as the senior marketing and communications leader for the region, ensuring alignment with WMCHealth’s network-wide strategic objectives, brand standards and organizational priorities. The Director will partner closely with Western Region executive leadership, service line leaders and the Network Marketing & Communications team to drive measurable impact on brand visibility, voume growth and awareness and reputation.
Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the primary marketing and communications liaison to Western Region leadership, providing strategic counsel and ensuring integration with network initiatives.
+ Lead the development and execution of region-specific marketing and communications plans that support growth, physician engagement, and service line promotion.
+ Translate organizational priorities into actionable campaigns and initiatives tailored to the local market while maintaining brand consistency.
+ Champion WMCHealth brand standards across all regional hospitals, ensuring consistency in voice, visual identity, and messaging.
+ Oversee the creation of compelling content for digital, print, and multimedia channels, including patient stories, physician spotlights, and community health features.
+ Collaborate with Network resources to plan and produce video, photography, and social media content in support of campaigns and hospital news
+ Partner with service line leaders and physicians to identify marketing opportunities and develop targeted campaigns.
+ Collaborate with Network digital and creative teams and agencies to optimize SEO, digital advertising, and social media presence for the Western Region.
+ Monitor and report on campaign performance, making data-informed recommendations to maximize ROI.
+ Serve as the regional spokesperson when appropriate and coordinate with Network Strategic Communications on media inquiries, press releases, and public statements.
+ Ensure timely and accurate communication of hospital news, service launches, and leadership updates to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Manage local internal communications efforts stemming from Network activities.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital executive teams, department leaders, and physicians to align marketing and communications strategies with business goals.
+ Represent the Western Region in network-wide marketing leadership meetings, sharing best practices and advocating for regional needs.
+ Create regional reporting that highlights efforts specific to the Western region and as part of the Network initiatives.
+ Manage regional marketing budgets in alignment with network financial guidelines.
+ Oversee quality control and compliance for all marketing and communications materials.
+ Ensure timely updates to online listings, provider directories, social media, and hospital website content.
+ Align closely with other Marketing/Communications Director(s) for understanding of efforts and cross-coverage when needed.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Experience:
+ 7 years of progressively responsible marketing, communications and project management experience, required
+ 3 years of experience in a leadership role, required
+ Experience in a healthcare or a complex, multi-site organization, preferred
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field, required
+ Master’s degree, preferred
