The **UW Medical Center-Montlake Pharmacy Department** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Inpatient Pharmacy Manager - Satellite Pharmacy** .
WORK SCHEDULE
+ Full-Time / 40 hours per week
+ Day shifts
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
+ Assist the Director with the implementation and ongoing evaluation of inpatient and satellite pharmacy services
+ Function as a working leader in providing direct supervision for the inpatient pharmacy areas
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the satellite pharmacies including ICU, Oncology, and OR satellite in coordination with the inpatient operations manager. Assist in planning, developing, organizing and evaluating pharmacy services.
+ Assist in maintaining appropriate technology operations for the pharmacy. Coordinate operational activities related to information technology with the Information Systems Manager and the Automation & Analytics Manager.
+ Assure full compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards, including but not limited to USP <797>, USP<800>, NIOSH, The Joint Commission, Department of Health, and DEA.
+ Maintain and oversee security systems for the pharmacy's facilities, compounding environments, controlled substances, and information systems.
+ Coordinate with the pharmacy purchasing team on managing drug shortages, inventory, billing, and medication-use controls.
+ Assure proper control of controlled substances and maintain proper records and inventories.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
+ Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
+ Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Washington
+ Completion of an ASHP-accredited Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency or equivalent experience (minimum three to five years of progressive hospital pharmacy leadership)
+ Demonstrated leadership abilities in hospital or health-system pharmacy practice

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
