When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealths mission in the communities we serve.
As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The role you'll contribute:
Evaluates and Conducts medically indicated Speech Language pathology treatment programs.
The value you'll bring to the team:
+ Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive and swallowing skills
+ Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes speech therapy diagnosis, implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency). Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines
+ Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/CI, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group
+ Documents and Charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
+ Speech Pathologist License
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Neuro Patients in an outpatient settings
