A Brief Overview
Responsible for leading assigned projects and department level assignments to completion. Responsibilities will be autonomous and independent as well as in collaboration with various other team members. The Associate Project Manager may lead a team through small to medium complex projects with direct impact to operational departments across the Avera organization by utilizing established methodologies and best practices defined by the Organizational Excellence team. Other assignments will be in collaboration with Project Managers or Organizational Excellence leaders, which include creating project artifacts such as timelines, schedules, executive level presentations, project level status updates and reports, scorecards, documentation and meeting facilitation.
What you will do
+ Coordinate multiple projects and oversee the assignment and completion of concurrent tasks independently and in collaboration with others.
+ Lead small to medium teams of end users and leaders from areas such as IT, vendors/contractors, physician leaders, operational support departments, hospital facilities or clinics, etc., throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Monitors task and project activities to uncover and understand risks, project progress, prepare scorecard or status reports, and adapts project communications to stakeholders needs.
+ Responsible for assisting with projects led by others in the Organizational Excellence department with the completion of assigned project management activities: (a) create, update, and maintain the central document repository for project or intake artifacts, (b) At the direction of the project manager or Organizational Excellence leader, create, manage or monitor tasks, milestones, timelines, and deliverables within a project or intake process, (c) Proactively monitor and summarize project progress and provide status reports as assigned. (d) Responsible for creating, updating, or distributing departmental level, project, or intake reports Support the creation and development of department procedures.
+ Assist with department audit and compliance activities on procedures, projects, data, and reports.
+ Coordinates conversations to determine mitigation strategies.
+ Facilitate the resolution or escalation of project risks as needed to Organizational Excellence leaders, vendors, or operational leaders.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
+ Bachelor's
+ Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) - Project Management Institute (PMI) Upon Hire
+ 1-3 years Experience in leading teams, managing stakeholders, communicating with leaders, coordination or management of tasks or projects.
