GENERAL SUMMARY:

Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours - Day Shifts

Performs advanced pharmacy technician duties and participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Our OB-GYN maternity care teams deliver a personalized birthing experience and advanced neonatal care for sick babies. We offer a range of procedures using robotic-assisted technology, imaging and lab tests, a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation center, all on one campus.

PRINCPLE DTUIES & RESPONSBIITLIES:

+ Acquires clinical data to support Pharmacists. Coordinates special projects.

+ Responsible for auditing, quality assurance sign off with barcode scanning, controlled substance oversight, and billing including, Long Term Care (LTC) billing and Medicare D claim adjudication.

+ Serves as a resource for automation technology, training & involvement with IV workflow, carousels, Pyxis, automated dispensing cabinets, troubleshooting, compounding, and robotics.

+ Provides advanced cross-training for dedicated buyers, staff, operating room satellite, and retail.

+ May monitor compliance with regulatory standards and be responsible for inventory and drug shortage management and optimization.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

+ Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Data analytics, troubleshooting, and experience with Pyxis.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

+ Pharmacy Technician credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
