    Caterpillar is seeking a Quality Manager in Waco, TX. In this role, you will drive quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier Quality, and materials technology. You will ensure conformity to global Quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS), day to day management of Quality resources, and ensure the team is well trained and competent.

    What you can look forward to in this role:

    + Develop your team to build strong employee engagement and create a positive and productive team culture.

    + Support New Product Initiatives (NPI) from the Quality perspective

    + Ensure the facility’s products meet Caterpillar specifications through material inspection and managing Quality processes.

    + Collaborate with suppliers on supplier Quality issues and improvements.

    + Manage projects that may include CQMS, BIQ and ISO certifications.

    + Ensure alignment to CPS (Caterpillar Production System) concepts.

    A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

    + Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

    + Quality Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for Quality Risk Management; ability to implement the quality assurance process of assessment, control, communication, and review of risks to the quality of products.

    + Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

    Top Candidates for this position may also have:

    + A bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing with an excellent understanding of Quality Management practices OR 5 years of experience in Quality Management

    + Knowledge of Assembly and Logistics Operations procedures is required.

    + Good human relations skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department.

    + Experience with Quality Management Systems; ideally CQMS.

    The primary location for this position is Waco, TX.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $95,640.00 - $143,520.00
