Position Summary:
The Department of Accounting in the Neil Griffin College of Business at Arkansas State University (A-State) invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track instructor position in accounting beginning Spring 2026.
The AACSB-accredited Neil Griffin College of Business is one of the up-and-coming business colleges in the region. The Department of Accounting has a strong reputation regionally for the quality of its accounting program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching accounting courses in the undergraduate program and service to the department, college, university and accounting profession.

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability or potential for strong teaching performance
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and recruit students
• Familiarity with current U.S. accounting practices
• Active CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure
• Interest in and knowledge of data analytics, including tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python programming, and Alteryx

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned or anticipated master’s degree in Accounting (or an MBA with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting) from an AACSB-accredited business school by the start date of the appointment.
The selected candidates are expected to maintain AACSB instructional practitioner qualifications through continued professional experience and engagement related to their professional background and experience.
