**Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC** is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical testing for USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) within a Program Management Office (PMO) environment. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative setting alongside Government and contractor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The Junior Test Engineer will assist in validating system functionality and ensuring accurate implementation of USAF logistics systems (SCS) requirements. **This position requires an active Secret Clearance** .
This position follows a hybrid work schedule: two days on-site at our Kettering, Ohio facility and three days remote.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist in executing manual and automated application testing, including functional and usability testing
+ Support the development and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts
+ Participate in test environment setup and configuration
+ Help identify and document defects, working closely with development and sustainment teams
+ Review user stories and requirements for clarity and testability
+ Contribute to test result reporting and documentation
+ Learn and apply USAF logistics system (SCS) functional knowledge under SME guidance
+ Manage the Qualitative Test and Evaluation (QT&E) environment on the Mainframe and coordinate testing activities with SME Team members
+ Interact with Stock Control System (SCS) SMEs and support contractors to assist with production support and transition to JAVA-based system software
+ Communicate extensively with interfacing systems/organizations including FMS, SMAS, SAMIS, DFAS, ESCAPE, FLITES, and DLA
+ Document QT&E test completion in accordance with contract and Air Force software lifecycle requirements
+ Attend meetings and conferences as directed by Program Managers
Required Skills/Experience:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ High School Diploma or Associate’s degree
+ Must be able to obtain a NACI/T1 clearance
+ Active Secret Clearance
+ Up to 2 years of experience in manual or automated testing, scripting, or related QA activities
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to be trained to review and understand application source code written in JCL, COBOL, or CA-IDEAL
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment
+ Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Preferred Skills/Experience:
+ Ability to be trained to review and understand application source code written in JAVA, JavaScript, Python, and SQL
+ Bachelor’s Degree or three years of experience in a logistics system or Air Force/DOD project support environment
+ Familiarity with USAF logistics systems (SCS) or similar systems
+ Exposure to AF logistics or cataloging systems
+ Basic understanding of Static Code Analysis tools
+ Experience or coursework involving AWS Cloud One or Azure DevOps
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies or certifications
+ Awareness of software development lifecycle concepts
+ Proven ability to function in a team environment
Additional Qualifications:
+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
+ Capable of working independently on assigned tasks and contributing to team efforts
