The Senior Financial Analyst supports REI’s business functions by providing timely, relevant, and accurate financial analysis and recommendations. These recommendations help drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is important for improving how company resources are used. The goal is to deliver sustainable returns for our members.
Analysts will help with financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. They will work with teams in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Digital, Retail, and Operations. We are hiring several analysts from this posting to support different business areas. We seek candidates with exceptional knowledge of retail economics, merchandising basics, and operational finance.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsibilities:
+ Support the development and execution of Co-op’s strategic growth initiatives. Do this through partnership, investment, and evaluation of new business models.
+ Build financial models, create business cases, and examine data to drive actionable insights for leadership decisions.
+ Partner with and manage cross-functional teams in all execution phases. This includes diligence, business case creation, financial modeling, planning, and integration.
+ Drive proactive ad-hoc financial analysis by identifying needed information. Establish where to find the data. Conclude how to compile, examine, and present it.
+ Own the set-up, creation and execution of strategic planning, budgeting, and subsequent intra-year forecasting of processes and tools.
+ Produce budget justification review utilized by the Leadership Team to review, prioritize and make recommendations on the proposed operating budget.
+ Produce regular co-op reporting including Board Packets, Business Reviews, and key operational dashboards.
+ Identify financial impact of strategic goals, which are to be factored into the five-year strategic plan.
+ Compile monthly reporting for each department that explains P&L variances and solicit feedback for forecasting.
+ Leverage SQL and other tools to work with structured and unstructured data sources
Required Qualifications:
+ 3-5 years of business analysis experience (including data mining)
+ 3-5 years of financial planning, forecasting, and working capital examination
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or similar
+ MBA or similar certification
+ Hands-on experience examining large datasets using tools like SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Sigma, PowerBI
+ Demonstrates exceptional statistical and critical proficiency
+ Ability to examine or design processes that can scale to meet goals. Ability to develop measurements to control these processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ MBA or similar certification
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with Board of Directors and senior management professionals.
+ Demonstrated effective leadership, supervision, and interpersonal skills. Instructed or assigned work to others, motivated and coached, and evaluated work performance.

Pay Range
$85,400.00 - $136,700.00 per year
