Full-Time; 0900-1730, Monday – Thursday
Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible to provide professional laboratory services in all areas of the lab including; phlebotomy, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, Immunohematology, and microbiology. The medical laboratory technician is expected to participate in all quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and patient testing performed by the laboratory. The medical laboratory technician is expected to be able to work independently or with little supervision. The medical laboratory technician will also be responsible to rotate on call and weekend duties.

Responsibilities
+ Perform medical laboratory tests, quality control, test procedures and analysis to provide data for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
+ Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible to provide professional laboratory services in all areas of the lab including; phlebotomy, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, Immunohematology, and microbiology.
+ The medical laboratory technician is expected to participate in all quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and patient testing performed by the laboratory. The medical laboratory technician is expected to be able to work independently or with little supervision.
+ The medical laboratory technician will also be responsible to rotate on call duties.
Qualifications
+ Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
+ Board registered as a medical laboratory technician with one of the national registries associated with laboratory practice (NCA, ASCP, etc.)
+ ASCP or equivalent certification required to work in Iowa.
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED
+ Must be able to Read, Write and Speak English.
