Join Collins Aerospace as a **Senior Project Engineer** . We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with expertise in Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) to lead schedule development, integration, and execution across multiple engineering programs. In this senior role, you will provide strategic oversight of complex schedules, ensuring alignment with program milestones, baselines, scope, and resources. You will act as a key advisor to engineering and program leadership, driving excellence in planning, risk management, and execution. You will also mentor peers, enforce scheduling best practices, and champion process improvements that enhance program performance and delivery.
This position will sit at our **Aguadilla, PR** location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as **hybrid** , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
+ Lead the development, integration, and management of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs.
+ Establish and maintain program baselines, including schedule, scope, and resource allocations.
+ Manage scope changes and schedule rebaselines, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and communication to stakeholders.
+ Partner with program leadership to ensure schedules align with contractual requirements, deliverables, and regulatory standards.
+ Perform resource loading and leveling to identify gaps, conflicts, and optimize allocation across programs.
+ Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on scheduling, mentoring and training junior engineers and project schedulers.
+ Drive use of performance metrics (SPI, CPI, variance analysis) to assess schedule health and proactively address risks.
+ Facilitate program-level reviews, executive briefings, and recovery planning for critical path and milestone impacts.
+ Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain to synchronize dependencies and mitigate schedule risks.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance baseline integrity, reporting accuracy, and schedule efficiency.
+ Utilize advanced project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, JIRA) for integration, analysis, and reporting.
+ Act as a strategic partner to program managers and senior leadership, providing reliable schedule and resource data for informed decision-making.

Qualifications you must have:
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
+ Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Relevant experience in engineering project scheduling and Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS).
+ Proven expertise in baseline management, scope change control, and resource planning.
+ Advanced proficiency with scheduling tools.
+ Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance metrics.
+ Deep understanding of engineering and manufacturing workflows, compliance requirements, and configuration management.
+ Experience applying Continuous Improvement (CI) or Lean to scheduling processes.
+ Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or large-scale manufacturing programs.
+ Familiarity with DoD IMS guidelines, DCMA 14-point schedule assessment, and PMI scheduling standards.
+ Track record of leading schedule recovery, rebaselining, and risk mitigation efforts.
+ Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent).
