Job Overview
Fairview Health Services is looking for a **Lead Staffing Advisor** to help us in producing schedules for our employee’s in our hospitals. This rewarding role helps make a difference by ensuring the units are adequately staffed to assist with our patients. By monitoring daily staffing for current needs, this role will work to confirm the staff are present to ensure safe staff-to-patient ratios, or to meet staffing requirements. They will also serve as a timekeeper for the electronic time and attendance system and work with nursing management to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
This position is being added due to department growth.
About this position
Hours: 56 hours (0.7 FTE), every two weeks and **is** benefit eligible
Schedule: Evening Shift, working 8 hour shifts
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
+ Crafting and maintaining accurate staff schedules within guidelines set by policies, union contract, department guidelines and human resources policies.
+ Tracking and reporting departmental data such as attendance, employee data and skill level of all personnel
+ Ensuring that necessary information regarding staffing issues are relayed appropriately to Nurse Managers, staffing office leadership, Administrative Nursing Supervisors and other designated leadership as appropriate.
+ Participating in department and system quality improvement projects
+ Performing other duties as assigned.
No experience? No problem! One to three years of previous scheduling experience in a hospital setting is a plus, but not required. What is required is a high level of communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to use PC, network applications and staffing software applications is needed. A candidate who is able to prioritize tasks would be successful in this role. Ability to work independently and multi-task while providing excellent customer service to all levels of staff, outside agencies and contracts is also highly valued.
