OPPORTUNITIES ARE SHIPBOARD ON AN OCEAN-GOING MARINE VESSEL.** **Typically working 3 Rotations per year, each one is approximately 10 weeks. Working 12 hours per day, 7 days per week when at sea, 84 hours per week. Along with the rotations at sea, you’d get 3 home (time-off) leaves each year at 7 weeks each.
Seeking a Field Engineer to maintain and operate the RF systems that comprise the X-Band Radar (XBR) that is installed on the Sea Based X-Band (SBX-1) ocean-going platform. As a Field Engineer, your primary duties would include radar operator as well as conducting troubleshooting, technical analysis, and corrective actions of all radio frequency (RF) elements, to include receiver-exciters, transmit/receive modules, and beam forming networks for the XBR hardware. You will also support and execute radar modifications, and enhancements to the system in accordance with customer and technical specifications.
What You Will Do:
+ Work in a team environment to resolve equipment anomalies.
+ Execute preventative maintenance as defined in program technical manuals.
+ Climb and perform work at moderate heights above the ground.
+ Pass an annual Maritime Physical examination.
+ Lift up to 40 pounds.
What You Will Learn:
+ Operations, sustainment and mission support for all XBR RF and mission equipment.
+ Mission planning of XBR test events and real-world radar tracking.
+ Radar operations, emphasis on crew drills, crisis action plan and reporting procedures.
+ Other duties as assigned by the Radar Systems Engineering Lead or Radar Hardware Engineering Lead.
Qualifications You Must Have :
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years relevant experience.
+ Experience working in a maritime shipboard environment for extended periods.
+ Experience handling and classifying technical documentation.
+ Experience as a radar engineer or technician.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Experience reading and understanding design drawings, specifications, and vendor technical documentation.
+ Experience assessing the performance of RF systems, as well as in monitoring, troubleshooting, isolating failures and removing/replacing failed components in such systems.
+ 4 years’ experience in test, integration, maintenance, alignment, adjustment, calibration, and operation of RF equipment associated with radar systems, to include transmitters, receivers, fiber optics, control systems, cabling, and interconnects.
+ Familiar with US Department of Defense testing and acceptance practices for facilities sub-systems.
+ The ideal candidate will possess experience in troubleshooting radar hardware and RF signal path failures to determine corrective actions to restore radar systems to an operational state in accordance with product and customer specifications.
+ Experience interacting with customer representatives and coordinating actions with other contractors.
+ Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of desktop application software.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
