    Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform advanced electrical maintenance and repairs to support hospital operations.

    + Complete preventative maintenance and work orders on electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

    + Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including HVAC, variable speed drives, switchgear, motor control centers, and emergency generators.

    + Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes and maintain safe working conditions throughout the facility.

    + Be part of an on-call rotation (no regular weekends; only emergencies as needed).

    Qualifications

    What We’re Looking For

    + Education:

    + High School Diploma or GED, required.

    + Two-year technical degree required OR equivalent work experience.

    + Completion of a three-year electrical apprenticeship, required.

    + Experience:

    + Minimum five years of experience in commercial electrical distribution installation and maintenance, required.

    + Healthcare or hospital experience, preferred.

    + Licensure:

    + Valid city or county journeyman's card and/or electrician’s license from state of employment, required.

    + Valid driver’s license, required.

    + Skills:

    + Strong knowledge of life safety, electrical, and building codes.

    + Expertise in electrical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

    + Skilled in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

    + Experience with electrical testing devices and emergency power systems.

    + (Preferred) Familiarity with mechanical systems and basic PC use.
