Overview

Our Fort Worth, Texas (TX) office is looking for an Electrical Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Water/Wastewater team!

Responsibilities

+ Serve as the BIM Manager on projects and support the ongoing expansion of Kimley-Horn's Water/Wastewater practice

+ Coordinate with Electrical, Structural, and other internal disciplines on larger treatment and pump station projects to facilitate the use of tools like Revit and BIM to deliver multi-discipline projects

+ Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to streamline project coordination for multiple projects

+ The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

+ Developtechnical drawings and plans

+ Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes

+ Maintain Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) database for projects

+ Will supervise and train Revit staff

+ Provide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and technologies.

+ Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control

+ Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

+ 15+ years of relevant experience in engineering design and support using BIM/CAD software

+ Strong design skills in Revit, AutoCAD Civil3D and other Autodesk products

+ Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings

+ Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn

+ Ability to work independently and with a team

+ Willingness to mentor and teach others

+ Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
