    We specialize in Rotary and Mission Systems \(RMS\) that provide advanced capabilities to serve the defense industry\.     THE WORK

    \- Work side\-by\-side with assembly team to assist in training skills, help resolve issues, and quickly demonstrate proper assembly techniques\.

     

    \- Act as a liaison between training area and manufacturing engineering by identifying process gaps, skill gaps, tooling and training needs\.

     

    \- Assemble complex subassemblies from engineering drawings and/or work instructions\.

     

    \- Cutting, stripping, and crimping wires to specified lengths and sizes\.

     

    \- Assembling connectors, terminals, and other components onto wires and cables\.

     

    \- Building subassemblies, such as harnesses, wire bundles, and cable assemblies, according to customer specifications\.

     

    \- Assist with driving correct actions for non\-conformance trends\.

     

    \- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations

    WHO YOU ARE

    You are a seasoned subassembly builder who comfortably blends mechanical and electrical work to assemble intricate sub‑systems while also being an effective on‑floor mentor\. You excel at interpreting drawings and work instructions, and you are “on‑call” to demonstrate techniques, answer questions, and help teammates ramp up quickly\. You are self‑directed, quality‑focused, and able to liaise smoothly with both engineering and training partners\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • \+5 years of hands‑on subassembly experience in aerospace/defense or comparable environment\.

    • \+1 year of documented on‑the‑floor training/mentoring experience\.

    • Proven ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, schematics, and BOMs\.

    • Proficiency in subassembly tasks \(mechanical and electrical\)\.

    Desired Skills:

    • Strong written & verbal communication skills\.

    • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's quality control procedures and guidelines

    • Experience working with Lockheed Martin or similar companies in the aerospace or defense industry

    • Certification in mechanical/electrical subassembly or a related field

    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable continuous‑improvement training\.

    • Knowledgeable in IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 \(Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies\)\.

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
