The Patient Engagement Liaison functions as a liaison between the patient/family and Raritan Bay Medical Center by addressing issues and concerns raised by the patient and /or family to improve patient satisfaction and create an environment for patient engagement. To perform customer relations services and comfort measures for patients seeking medical services at Raritan Bay Medical Center.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

+ High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

+ A minimum of one year in a healthcare setting, preferably in an acute care hospital/facility.

+ Demonstrates the ability to relate to people in a warm and consistently friendly manner. Teamwork orientation, commitment to customer service excellence and collaborative approach.

+ Knowledge and ability to articulate the cultural and perceptual factors that affect communication between patient, families, providers and interpreter.

+ Excellent customer service/teamwork skills and flexibility.

+ Ability to exercise tact and judgment regarding personal/confidential matters. Performs work in a professional, ethical and reliable fashion.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish OR Bilingual in English and Polish.

+ Knowledge of medical terminology.

Minimum rate of $28.93 Hourly
