Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a team that is client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical, you'll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.  Help clients, Perform z/OS Software installations (especially recent releases like z/OS 2.5 and 3.1) .Use z/OSMF, Implement best practices , Knowledge with replication Services and coding skills to automate System tasks.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Minimum of 15 years of experience

• z/OS: - System Programmer set of skills (ISPF/SDSF, z/FS Filesystem, RACF, JES parameters, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB members.)

•- Deep skills in z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, High Availability, Storage, Performance and Tuning -

•- Experience with implementation and usage of z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF)

• z/OS SW installations (z/OS releases, other software using z/OSMF)

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Analytical/critical/outside-the-box thinking in problem solving

• Ability to work well in team environment as well as independently without direction

• Mainframe systems software programming experience

• z/OS application modernization such as with z/OSMF and zCX

• z/OS experience with catalog management, ISPF/SDSF, z/FS Filesystem, Unix System Services, RACF, JES parameters, SYS1.PARMLIB, SYS1.PROCLIB members.

• Proficient with TSO/ISPF, JES2, RMF, SMF

Unix System Services

•- Knowledge on IBM Z Container Extensions technology (zCX)

• z/OS Unix System Services

• z/OS SYSPLEX management including couple dataset definition and coupling facilities, dataset management (allocation, backup, restore, etc.) including DFDSS, DFSMS storage constructs, XCF, System Logger, etc.

• Good problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills , - Identifies and resolves less clearly defined problems using established procedures and/or protocols as guidelines

• Effective communication and team skills with an ability to cooperate, present to and participate with peers/team members , Presentations (excellent oral and written skills)
