    ROLE SUMMARY

    The Sr. Software Engineer maintains responsibility for overseeing the design, development, and support of business-critical applications. Provides leadership in the planning, development, testing, deployment, and documentation for projects and enhancements to business-critical applications. As a Sr. Software Engineer, duties will be assigned as 60% programming, 40% business analysis.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Evaluates programming project requests, determining feasibility by applying knowledge of systems and identifying opportunities to enhance current capabilities.

    + Develops new business applications and enhancements to existing ones.

    + Provides leadership in the planning, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of applications that are identified as opportunities to enhance current capabilities.

    + Interviews business stakeholders to define current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.

    + Employs structured analysis and design to build application specification documentation that includes flowcharts and diagrams to describe logical operations involved.

    + Provides knowledge and insight of the application and business of their respective area to other application and infrastructure teams.

    + Provides leadership and mentoring to Software Engineers, supporting a work environment that strives for production excellence and product improvement.

    + Contributes to 24/7 production support by participating in on-call rotations.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Performs modifications to code to correct errors.

    + Analyzes programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

    + Creates and maintains documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and modifications to correct errors.

    + Performs business analysis and participates in the facilitation of training.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 5+ years of SQL experience, including full knowledge of advanced SQL topics (analytic/window functions, CTE, etc.) for Oracle 19c or greater.

    + 5+ years of PL/SQL experience including writing complex packages to implement custom business logic.

    + 2+ years of experience with Oracle Transportation Management.

    + 4+ years of experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2.X (ideally in Supply chain and Discrete Manufacturing modules - OM, INV, BOM, ATO, WIP, IB).

    + Capability to work independently; a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements with a logical approach to problem resolution.

    + Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to others.

    + Technical skills and experience to participate in the development and maintenance of business applications.

    + Strong project management and leadership skills to guide efforts of junior programmers.

    + Outstanding organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

    + Adaptable to ongoing changes in technology.

    Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

    + Travel Required: 5%

     

    Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $85,400.00 - $120,000.00/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (Internal Job Grade: P2_T) In addition to competitive salary, Subaru offers an amazing benefits package that includes:
