Your New Role** **:
The Vice President of Client Engineering and Solutions Architecture (US) reports to the SVP, Converged Advertising and Linear Systems and leads the engineering architecture function for WBD’s advertising, affiliate, and scheduling platforms. This role owns solution design, systems integration, and technical execution, ensuring platforms are cloud-native, secure, and interoperable across linear and digital environments. By driving API frameworks, data pipelines, and modernization of legacy systems, the VP delivers high-performance solutions that enable seamless cross-platform workflows and power WBD’s next-generation monetization strategy.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Technical Architecture Leadership
The VP defines and governs the architecture strategy for WBD’s U.S. ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling systems. They establish blueprints, API frameworks, and data integration models that ensure scalability, security, and interoperability across converged advertising platforms while modernizing affiliate distribution and scheduling capabilities.
Client Engineering Execution none
This role leads engineering teams in designing and delivering solutions that span advertising, affiliate, and scheduling domains. The VP ensures business and product requirements are translated into technical blueprints, integrating order management, ad decisioning, trafficking, billing, affiliate systems, and scheduling workflows into a unified ecosystem.
Platform Modernization and Rationalization none
The VP drives the modernization of legacy ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling systems, advancing migrations to cloud-native, modular architectures. They oversee rationalization to eliminate redundancy, improve cost efficiency, and embed CI/CD automation, observability, and performance optimization into engineering practices across all platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Alignment
The VP acts as a strategic bridge between business and technology, partnering with product, sales, operations, affiliate distribution, and scheduling teams. They ensure system architecture supports monetization strategies, operational efficiency, and long-term business objectives, while aligning with industry standards and evolving market trends.
Engineering Governance and Performance
This executive establishes governance and KPIs across ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling platforms to track reliability, latency, and delivery performance. They ensure engineering execution meets enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and compliance, guaranteeing that WBD’s technology foundation is optimized to support advertising, affiliate, and scheduling business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
+ **Engineering Leadership** : 10+ years of senior engineering leadership in media or technology, with proven ability to architect, scale, and modernize complex ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling systems.
+ **Ad Tech Systems Expertise** : 5+ years in media and entertainment with hands-on experience in linear and digital ad sales platforms, order management, ad decisioning, trafficking, billing, and cross-platform integration.
+ **Architecture & Modernization** : Demonstrated success in solution architecture, API frameworks, data pipelines, cloud-native design, and modernization of legacy platforms into modular, scalable systems.
+ **Software Engineering Practices** : Deep knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD automation, test automation, observability, and performance optimization at scale.
+ **Systems Integration** : Expertise in unifying disparate technologies through standardized data flows, service-oriented architectures, and microservices, ensuring interoperability and resiliency across business-critical platforms.
+ **Engineering ROI & Scalability** : Skilled in cost modeling, performance benchmarking, and technical ROI analysis to prioritize engineering investments that maximize efficiency, reduce redundancy, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
+ **Technical Communication & Stakeholder Influence** : Adept at presenting complex engineering strategies to senior executives, collaborating with product, sales, and operations, and influencing decisions with clear technical rationale.
+ **Industry & Technology Fluency** : Deep awareness of emerging trends in ad tech, programmatic, identity resolution, scheduling systems, and cloud engineering; ability to translate industry innovations into actionable technical strategies.
+ **Collaboration & Vendor Management** : Experienced in managing vendor platforms, third-party integrations, and large-scale engineering partnerships to accelerate solution delivery.
+ **Education** : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience required; advanced technical certifications in cloud or architecture preferred.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $254,730.00 - $473,070.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
