This critical role supports our physicians and ensures the operational effectiveness of the Department of Emergency Medicine. The ideal caregiver possesses strong Microsoft Office skills-especially in Excel for pulling data and creating pivot tables, PowerPoint for developing creative presentations, and Teams for collaboration. They must communicate effectively with leadership, be detail-oriented, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30am-4:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Function as a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource.
+ Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.
+ Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.
+ Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.
+ Develop communications and databases.
+ With guidance from Director, lead or coordinate multiple projects and policy initiatives.
+ Update, monitor and manage databases.
+ Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.
+ Analyze project improvement and progress.
+ Report discrepancies and variances.
+ Coordinate project prioritization and assist with policy and initiative implementation.
+ Assist with scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings.
+ Attend meetings and record key outcomes.
+ Support all office administrative functions.
+ Develop and maintain updates.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Associate's Degree and two years of administrative experience
+ OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of experience
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
+ May require a license based on department/institute needs
+ Strong computer skills and experience with software applications
+ Skills/qualities: multitasking, critical thinking, decisive judgment, independent, interactive, communication and customer service
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
+ Healthcare or related organization experience
+ Knowledge of project management and communication practices

Physical Requirements:
+ High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.
+ May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.
+ Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
+ May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
