    GVI Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Engineering Technician VI - Drafter to join our Team in White Sands Missile Range, NM.

     

    **Position Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician providing equipment maintenance, repair and certification for weight handling (WHE), material handling (MHE) and ordnance handling equipment (OHE) with strong drafting experience to support engineering and technical operations under a U.S. Navy government contract.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + The ideal candidate will assist in the development, review, and modification of technical drawings and engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with Navy standards and project specifications.

    + Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar drafting software

    Experience

    + Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and schematics

    + Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility

    + Maintain drawing logs and documentation in accordance with Navy protocols

    + Support field verification and site surveys as needed

    + Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation packages

    + Ensure compliance with NAVFAC and DoD drafting standards

    Required Qualifications:

    + Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably in a military or government setting

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software

    + Familiarity with NAVFAC standards and military construction documentation

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

    + Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of running equipment forklift, manlift, scissor lift. Safety in said equipment.

    + Have pulled/backed a trailer.

    + General knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics principles to fully maintain and repair various carts utilized.

    + Knowledge in hand tools and safety use of hand tools.

    + Knowledge in metal work.

    + Experience supporting Navy or DoD engineering contracts

    + Knowledge of GIS or BIM tools

    + Prior field experience conducting site surveys or inspections

    + Active security clearance

     

    Position is located in White Sands Missile Range, NM.
