    About the Role:

    As a Project Management Director, you’ll be responsible for department-related management services within an assigned geographic market, program, or client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. You will manage and oversee a global major retailers workspace program and act as the global account lead to support work in other regions.

     

    The selected Project Management Director for this Global role will be expected to report to the client’s offices in Beaverton, OR.

     

    This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Work with the client head of real estate and oversee all aspects of program delivery.

    + Interface with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

    + Develop fee proposals and oversee all invoicing to clients.

    + Identify opportunities to improve project and cost management procedures, templates and products.

    + Knowledge management – Ensure that key information and learn generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.

    + Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.

    + Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.

    + Take a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

    + Lead a Project Management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

    + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

    + Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.

    + Attend relevant networking event and other promotional opportunities.

    + Staff management – Input into the formal management of Associate, Senior & Project Consultants and recruitment interviews. Undertake Staff Performance reviews.

    + Knowledge management – Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the company’s internal database.

    + Financial management – Utilize the tools provided keep track of the ongoing

    + Direct all phases of the process for small to medium-sized clients including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.

    + Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts are accurate, timely, and compliant.

    + Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships.

    + Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.

    + Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.

    + Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.

    + Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.

    + Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

    + Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

    What You’ll Need:

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

     

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

    + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

    + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

    + Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.

    + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    + Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

    + Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
