Additional Information About the Role
+ **Shift information:** The shift is typically M – F 8 AM – 5 PM, though occasionally support must be provided outside normal work hours. Flex scheduling is offered in these situations.
+ **Types of clients:** Providing vocational services and resources to Adults with serious mental illness, some with co-occurring substance use and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities
+ **Location:** Office Location is in North County – Graham Road in Florissant – this a community based position, and you will work in the communities throughout the St. Louis Metro area
+ **Job responsibilities:** Learning the job market and the skills and resources to develop relationships with the business community and training resources; assisting individuals with developing employment goals and providing supports and services to attain those goals. This includes career counseling, linkage to resources, developing resumes, interview preparation, finding and developing job opportunities, providing job support at or away from the job site.
+ **Ideal Skill Set:** Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to establish rapport with a variety of individuals, including young adults, funding sources, clinicians, families, and the business community. Excellent time management and organizational skills, professional demeanor and the ability to problem solve.
Overview
**BJC Behavioral Health** is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Facilitates linkage and coordination with area employment resources that increase the opportunities for meaningful employment and educational experiences.
Responsibilities
+ Develops a variety of employment and educational opportunities for BJC Behavioral Health clients.
+ Develops and maintains relationships with the business community to establish and maintain employment opportunities for clients.
+ Acts as a liaison with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and other social service agencies for staff and clients.
+ Provides consultation to staff and clients in area of employment.
