    Position Summary

    This position is responsible for managing small or medium sized projects or portions of a larger, complex project. May manage a team or serve as a construction project lead. Responsible for coordinating subcontractors ensuring project schedule and deadlines are adhered to.

     

    By joining our team as an experienced and qualified Project Manager you will have the key responsibility of ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the utmost quality and safety. You will manage and be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. As a Project Manager you lead the success of Southland Energy’s world-class projects.

    Position Details

    + Manages small or medium sized projects or a portion of a larger and more complex project.

    + Maintains positive client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.

    + Assists in managing budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for a construction project.

    + Participates in project meetings with internal departments.

    + Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.

    + Independently performs assignments. Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments.

    + Provides leadership to project team to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.Trains and mentors less-experienced positions. May manage direct reports, including performance, coaching, hiring, etc.

    Qualifications

    + Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience

    + Minimum 5 years’ experience, including construction team management

    + Proven ability to manage small teams

    + Sound knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, controls, generation, and water systems

    + Ability to read and translate blueprints

    + Sound negotiation skills

    + Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

    + Sound financial acumen

    + Sound project management skills

    + Experience collaborating across multiple teams and subcontractors

    + Sound knowledge of building construction processes and methods and building codes and permitting

    + Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel

    **Pay:** Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California, this ranges from $120,000.00-$140,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
