    Summary:

    The Medical Triage personnel is responsible for taking incoming patient calls and delegating requests appropriately. Delivers quality customer service over the phone and engages in positive relationships with patients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides excellent customer service when interacting with patients and all office visitors.

    • Distinguishes best course of action to address patient needs based on information gathered through conversation.

    • Consults with providers to clarify and obtain information regarding office visit, post operative, and medication questions from patients.

    • Directs patient medication refills with providers via EPIC.

    • Collaborates with various departments regarding patient care.

    • Updates patient records in EPIC.

    • Carries out resending of work notes, scheduling patient appointments, sending patient orders and assisting with providing patient call backs regarding test results.

    Other information:

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    • CMA Certification.

    • Four (4) years’ experience work in a medical office/clinic.

    • Experience working in or with Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR).

    • Effective verbal and written communication.
