Position : Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

General Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, packing, and carrier scheduling. In this role, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished products in and out of the facility. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in logistics who can drive efficiency, maintain compliance, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping & Receiving
+ Supervise all inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition.
+ Manage carrier scheduling to meet production and customer deadlines.
+ Conduct shipping audits to ensure compliance with documentation, packaging, and labeling standards.
+ Verify all shipping documents (pack lists, BOLs, CofCs) are accurate and complete.
+ Coordinate shipping/receiving priorities with internal departments.
Team Leadership & Management
+ Lead, train, and motivate logistics team members with a focus on productivity, safety, and quality.
+ Provide coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution as needed.
+ Assign daily tasks and monitor performance against departmental goals.
Process Management
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
+ Oversee interdepartmental material transfers.
+ Ensure accurate ERP transactions and maintain both physical and digital records.
Compliance & Safety
+ Enforce company safety programs, including PPE and housekeeping standards.
+ Train team members in safe material handling and forklift operation.
+ Conduct facility and equipment inspections, coordinating maintenance when required.
+ Model and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with Production, Materials, and Quality teams to maintain smooth product flow.
+ Coordinate with Purchasing on carrier and vendor requirements.
+ Serve as primary contact for external carriers and freight forwarders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 5–7 years of logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/distribution environment.
+ 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
+ Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate a team.
+ Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.
