             Summary Job title: Automation Specialist Job ID: null Department: Vancouver Columbia TRC Description Summary: This position is responsible for driving the APR’s business strategy to accelerate growth in the automation businesses including programmable controllers, I/O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, system network design, design software, operations software, and plant maintenance software. You will be technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor. Reports to: Automation Solutions Group Manager Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education + 3-years’ experience/knowledge applying Rockwell Automations products or equivalent competitive solutions + Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record + Experience with MS Office with demonstrable technical ability + Outcome-based selling experience + Demonstrate technical writing and presentation skills + Technically minded + Possess a desire for discovery + Ability to quickly learn new concepts + Able to communicate effectively with all levels from C-Suite to warehouse + Enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new situations in diverse environments Preferred Qualifications: + Knowledge of local market and competitive environment + Ability to work independently and be self-motivated + Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously Working Conditions: + Conditions vary and may include industrial, warehouse, office, and external environments. + Some activities will include climbing, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Office time may include sitting for extended periods. + The position involves travel – both by car and by air. + Ability to work irregular hours/shifts Supervisory Responsibilities: No Essential Job Functions: + Participate in account planning and sales strategy + Provide selection and design advice, as needed + Create and execute plans to exceed growth targets + Be accountable for revenue performance of assigned product segments + Serve as domain expert around automation business and continuously build competency + Coordinate sales team efforts required to identify and close account conversions and project sales opportunities + Travel to customers within assigned geographic area CED is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability | Veteran Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is $90000 to $130000 annually.
