Description
As a Cardiac Monitor (EKG) Technician in the
Central Monitoring Unit at UCLA Health, you will play a vital role in
supporting patient safety and clinical care. From the Central Monitor Station,
you will provide continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythms and other
critical vital signs, serving as a key partner to the care team.
In this role, you will:

Monitor
5-lead EKG, pulse oximetry, respiratory rate, and end-tidal CO₂.
*
Recognize
and interpret arrhythmias, ST-segment changes, and QT prolongation.
*
Respond
promptly to actionable alarms and communicate findings to nurses and
physicians.
*
Document
patient activity, hand-off reports, and census reconciliation.
*
Ensure
equipment functionality and escalate issues appropriately.

Salary: $26.57 - $35.02 Hourly
Qualifications
We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated EKG-proficient
healthcare professional with:

Certification
as an EKG Tech - preferred
*
Associate
degree or diploma - preferred
*
Experience
in 5-lead EKG monitoring using Phillips® monitor - preferred
