    We are seeking aRespiratory Therapist, Pulmonary, Certified or Registered (CRT) (RRT),internally referred to as our Respiratory Care Practitioner II, St. Joeseph's Medical Group, a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist 2 (RT 2) you will, under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager, perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician

    + Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient

    + In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as team lead, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift

    + Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems

    + Patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma

     

    Clinic environment - Monday - Friday; no weekends

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    + State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.

    + Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

    + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.

    + 2 years experience as an RCP preferred.

    + NRP certificate preferred.

    + Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
