    Be the Best BI Developer II You Can Be

     

    + Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    + Demonstrated ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to support business decision-making.

    + Proven experience leading technical initiatives in data engineering, business intelligence analytics, and data platform infrastructure as a service (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python, Terraform, SQL).

    + Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing reports and dashboards using Qlik or similar data visualization tools.

    + At least 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ELT/ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, proficiency in building business intelligence analytics, data mining, data modeling, and visualization.

    + 3–5 years of experience working closely with business stakeholders, system/business analyst to define goals, metrics, and requirements, and translating them into actionable data solutions.

    + Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and database data modelling techniques, snowflake data warehousing, schemas and relational structures, to build scalable architecture for analytics and data science.

    + Strong track record of solving complex data warehousing challenges such as data cleansing, performance optimization, and scalability.

    + Experience in the healthcare domain is highly desirable.

    + Proficiency in Python and other programming languages using it for data integration services or custom apps

    Responsibilities:

    The Data Engineering BI Developer II position is responsible for designing solutions, data engineering, data-modelling, programming, testing, and enhancing various reports/dashboards that are required to support the business needs of functional departments across the enterprise (encompassing financial reporting, operational reporting, clinical reporting, sales/marketing reporting, and other functional areas. The Data Engineering BI Developer will ensure accuracy and consistency of raw data, develop data structures for data farming, analyze transformed data to validate its completeness and gather insight to impact business decisions. Additionally, this position should be able to support and enhance application interfaces and associated custom programs using Artificial intelligence models.

     

    + Collaborate with management, business users, IT developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and define report and dashboard requirements.

    + Design, develop, test, validate, and deploy reporting solutions in accordance with the organization's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.

    + Maintain and support reporting environments including Snowflake, Qlik, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and related platforms. Responsibilities include installation, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing development, maintenance and support.

    + Design, develop, enhance, and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Qlik, SSRS, and other business intelligence tools to meet evolving business needs.

    + Liaise with third-party vendors to manage reporting tool configurations, stay current with and implement product updates, and implement best practices for tool usage and upgrades.

    + Define and implement business intelligence (BI) solutions and data engineering requirements to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics initiatives.

    + Identify and evaluate data sources to extract relevant business information for reporting and analysis.

    + Analyze available data assets and recommend optimal sources for building accurate and insightful reports.

    + Support business users in developing self-service reporting capabilities and serve as a key contributor to the design and implementation of data warehouses, data marts, and multi-dimensional data models.

    + Develop and manage data integration processes using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) tools to support reporting and analytics workflows.

    + Participate in the implementation and maintenance of ETL/ELT mappings and pipelines.

    + Provide day-to-day support for production data engineering, reporting and BI processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

    + Enforce Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance policies to ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and ethical data usage.

    + Monitor and optimize analytics platforms to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.

    + Apply best practices to enhance query performance, reduce latency, and improve user experience across reporting platforms.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve support and maintenance issues related to data pipelines, data models, stored proc, views, python programs, dashboards, and reporting tools.

    + Engineer robust data integration, ingestion and modeling solutions and resolve data-related errors using approved data cleansing techniques.

    + Maintain effective communication with departmental teams to understand business drivers, requirements, and solution strategies.

    + Participate in data engineering and business intelligence support on call rotations, including weekend and off-hours coverage.

    + Implement data integration services or custom apps using Python language and develop Agentic Artificial intelligence applications using Large language models (LLMs) or other modern models based on business goals.

    + Expertise in developing scripts using declarative configuration language for building infrastructure/platform as code service using terraform is a strong plus.

    + Identify and integrate relevant data sources to support business reporting and analytics.

    + Contribute to the design and implementation of data warehouses, data marts, and multi-dimensional data cubes.

    + Develop and maintain Extract Transform Load (ETL) / Extract load Transform (ELT) processes to support data integration and transformation workflows.
