Boulder Community Health is seeking a Manager of Business Applications Services who is a strategic and operational leader responsible for managing the implementation, support, and optimization of business applications at Boulder Community Health, in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals, This role manages a department of high performing application analysts, and leads cross-functional teams and initiatives
The person in this position will work closely with all hospital departments, physicians, contracted vendors and other hospital staff to support and maintain the business applications at BCH and supported Epic Connect sites. They will work closely with the other managers and directors in the Application Services, Technical Infrastructure, and Project Management Departments in the performance of their duties.
This position supervises the Business Application Analysts and is an exempt position with on-call responsibilities. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or relevant IT/Healthcare certifications will be considered. •Valid Colorado driver’s license required. •Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. •HIMSS, HFMA, ITIL, or Epic certifications preferred. Three years of experience in a management or project management position within a healthcare setting required. Five years preferred. Responsibilities •Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes in accordance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. •Oversee timekeeping, resource allocation, and support coverage, including administration of on-call schedules to ensure continuous service delivery. •Set clear performance expectations, deliver regular feedback, and conduct formal evaluations. Address performance issues through coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations as needed, in compliance with policy. •Identify and promote training and growth opportunities for team members. Track progress and encourage continuous learning. •Define and monitor individual and departmental goals annually, ensuring alignment with BCH’s strategic priorities. Proactively plan for implementation and adoption of emerging healthcare technology. Oversee testing and deployment of new applications, ensuring quality user and patient experiences. •Foster a culture of quality technology solutions to challenges throughout the organization. Oversee the Business Applications optimization program. •Request & Issue Management: Ensure timely resolution of user requests, tickets, and vendor-related tasks. Monitor internal and external tracking systems and ensure staff maintain current and accurate documentation. •Monitor and communicate service level agreements (SLAs) and support performance metrics. •Partner with clinical and technical IT teams and operational leaders to ensure the adoption and efficiency of healthcare technology. Coordinate w to prioritize work, assign tasks, and manage resources. •Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, task assignments, and resource identification. Participate in defining requirements, risks, and deliverables for projects involving Business Applications. •Assist departments with the implementation and adoption of Business Applications or other IT technologies and workflow solutions •Support the development and enforcement of information technology security, disaster recovery, and continuity plans. •ssist in the creation of the IT Strategic Plan and contribute to operational and capital budgeting and monitoring. •Governance Participation: Serve on the Change Control Board to ensure smooth implementation of changes to production IT environments. Participate in other governance, taskforce, or incident response groups as needed.
