Job Description:
This leader is responsible for the process of developing solution architectures and designs for their assigned functional and technical areas of focus that are responsive to business needs while consistent with long term architectures of IT. The Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring that technology solutions meet business requirements and aligned to key deliverables, process, and enterprise architecture requirements and are aligned with long-term architectural goals. In addition, the sr solution architect is responsible for evaluating and selecting the technologies required to support those technology solution plans.
This person will have a broad range of skills and experience within the assigned functional or technical area of focus. He/she will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and technical solutions, the customer-facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, and the technical skills to be able to not only build demos and execute proof-of-concepts but also to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation. The qualified candidate is an experienced engineer / architect capable of complex requirements gathering and solution design/solution blueprint as well as translating solution details to technical and non technical audiences.
Analyze, coordinate, review, and integrate the deliverables of solutions architecture into enterprise architecture. Guide teams through implementations and upgrades; contributing to the effective management of risks and issues associated with Solution designs
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery outcomes. Collaborate with Enterprise architecture ensuring that solutions are in alignment with the overall EA and Technology strategy.
Direct or indirect involvement in the analysis, development and documentation of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the Enterprise
Participate within the pre-project phases of an IT project or program, including the development and oversight of future state designs of Enterprise Integration Technologies within the PFG-specific architecture
Analyze enterprise specifics and provide architecture recommendations, options and pros/cons on potential changes to the core platform(s) and the related software applications as part of the solution design process for new projects
Work with Development Teams during systems development lifecycle to ensure detailed design of the solution matches the higher-level architecture, and that the solution is developed in a manner that is scalable, adaptable and in sync with emerging advances in domain and PFG’s changing business requirements. Analyze and determine root causes for solution failure across people/process/technology domains.
Responsible for developing and maintaining application integration patterns, overseeing the development of integration components and overseeing testing of the interoperability of application modules and interfaces
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to a group of technical resources during the implementation or subsequent enhancement of software solutions for assigned functional / technical area(s) of focus.
Note that this is not a line management position, but you will have overall technical responsibility for project delivery.
Able to demonstrate examples of successfully driving a portfolio of cross functional/business programs/projects within budget while applying architecture methodology enabling comprehensive business outcomes
Collaborates effectively at a senior level with business, product and technical teams to analyze and evaluate technical, vendor, and resource requirements to drive successful architecture outcomes.
Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and drives architecture best practices and incorporates into solutioning as appropriate to support delivery on IT strategy and roadmap
Ability to create professional Business and Design documentation, including a full range of Architecture framework artifacts
Works closely with project leads, business stakeholders and IT colleagues to deliver functional and technical solutions for assigned areas of focus
Provides leadership and leads large project technical teams to deliver integration, operations or performance relating services. Technical lead for projects within assigned functional or technical areas of focus
Collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT teams to deliver application requirements and inform cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation
Be able to flex between waterfall, agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies as appropriate
Work closely with our product/project teams to ensure that project plans, user stories, and estimates are accurate and ensure that features delivered meet requirements and are delivered on-time
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors
5-7 Years
The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally Extremely focused, disciplined, and professionally persistent.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written.
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field or 5 - 7 Years experience with Enterprise technologies (i.e. IIB/MQ, Informatica, iSeries, .Net, Java, etc..)
3+ years as a Solution Architect.
We are open to more experienced candidates, in which case we will add additional responsibilities to the role.
